I think that it was both a good idea and a bad one. It was a good idea because moving to San Juan got the family away from the threats of other people. It also took them away from the memory of their mothers death. It was a bad idea because San Juan was in an even worse condition than Salvador. San Juan had a rapist and it was completely unsafe. Salvador at least had a better school and it was a little safer.

No I definetly don't think it was a good idea to move to San Juan. San Juan was way worse than Salvador. The family needed way more protection there and they were some very corrupted people that roamed the streets like Pishtaco. Although Salvador was filled with some not so pleasant memories, I feel that they could have found a more suitable place that was safer to live in.

I think that moving to San Juan had both advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages were that Alonso and his family no longer had to be reminded of Magda's death along with the grafitti death threats spray painted on the walls of Salvador. Another advantage in moving to San Juan was that Alonso and his family recieved a little more safety in that their identity wasn't revealed to many people. Some disadvantages in moving to San Juan were that the streets and community of San Juan were very dirty and unclean. Another factor was that there was a rapist named Pishtaco wandering the streets. Finally, the house that Alonso and his family lived in wasn't in the best living conditions because it was a little shack with an unsturdy door, a dirt floor, and an extremely small living space.
